Nathan Cain is a music producer and audio engineer based in Athens, Ohio. After graduating from Ohio University with degrees in music production and entrepreneurship, Nathan has been creating his own path and bringing fresh perspectives into the music industry.
Nathan has been trained in recording by Jim Eno (Public Hi-Fi Studio & drummer for Spoon), mixing by Michael Brauer, and mastering by Maria Rice (Peerless Mastering).
Since taking his first steps into the music business in 2020, Nathan has taken on many roles in his local scene, as well as remote work for multiple clients. Starting off as an intern with #iVoted in his second year of school, Nathan quickly jumped from one role to another before getting brought onto the Collective Entertainment team by festival founder, Emily White. Nathan is now the audio engineer for Emily's podcast "How to Build a Sustainable Music Career and Collect All Revenue Streams."
Outside of his work for Collective Entertainment, Nathan runs a home studio in Athens called The Lemonade Stand, alongside his business partner Kyle Willison. The studio venue features local and touring acts on their NPR Tiny Desk inspired YouTube series "Lemonade Stand Concerts." Nathan is also the president and A&R director of Brick City Records, which is a student-run label at Ohio University. On top of all of this, he is the co-founder of the folk-funk band "Plastic Lemonade," who were included in #iVoted 2022 alongside hundreds of notable acts. The group has also opened for touring artists including mxmtoon, Wild Pink, Wombo, and Coastal Club.
