Sofia Ballestin
Sofia Ballestin is Creative Director at Collective Entertainment. After graduating from Florida State University with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Business, Sof found a special interest in Creative Direction and Branding when studying the work of Graphic Design icon, Paula Scher. This inspired her to return to get her A.S. in Graphic Design Production from Broward College while working at Entercom Communications Miami as a Junior Designer. During this time, she was able to contribute to her first major project as designer for Riptide Music Festival 2018 and 2019. She had a hand in creating both digital and print marketing materials, as well as, single-handedly designing an entire band of aquatic animals playing instruments to be used as mascots, cut outs, stickers, and more!
Self-expression has existed as the one constant despite life’s twists and turns. The techniques have evolved, but the passion to create a connecting force from thin air has always existed. Once a child recreating cartoon character designs, then a musical theater kid, later the singer of a local pop indie band, to a designer and illustrator post-grad, and finally, a Creative Director specializing in creating new worlds through bold, memorable visuals. Today, she specializes in branding, digital/print marketing materials, and social media.
She has worked as a designer and consultant for a variety of clients in and outside the music industry, including: Candid Records, Jazz Foundation of America, Jayvee Records, Node Records, Wise Music Group, Capitol Studios, TherapeuticsMD, ArmorPoint Cybersecurity, and many independent artists.
In her free time, she takes the opportunity to create offline. This often includes unusual hobbies such as creating miniatures, learning how to hand-bind books, or tufting rugs inspired by her original drawings. She can also be seen at Universal Studios Orlando enjoying her annual pass and margaritas from Finnegan’s or at local Pride Events! Sofia currently resides in Orlando, FL.
